This glassworks only worked a few years, from the beginning of the 1930s to the bombing of June 15, 1940. Strongly damaged, this crystal will not reopen.
Its founder is Maurice Model, from a Parisian family. He therefore installs his glassworks in place of a company making wooden material such as parquet.
The entire production was for export. Chandeliers, vases, bowlss ... All objects are stamped: M.MODEL sometimes decorated with the mention: VERDUN.
With no store in Verdun, the items bought by the Verdunois were directly at the factory. Hence the rarity of these pieces at present.
