ILKA Leuchten was a German lighting company based in Wilhelmshaven, Germany, that produced numerous lighting models primarily made from plastic materials. Unfortunately, the factory was destroyed by a fire in 1973 and was never rebuilt.
ILKA light fixtures are highly sought after today, as very few examples have survived the past 40-50 years.
This particular lamp is especially rare and thus valuable. It features a cocoon-like design made up of several orange segments, separated by transparent plastic spacers. These spacers create a striking play of light, and there are very few examples of this particular design still in existence.
