French Mid-century Enameled Ceramic Wall Platter - Ref 17612
by LONGWY
Decor designed by Maurice-Paul Chevallier and enameled by Albert Kirchtetter
France, 1950s
From the 1950s, in the footsteps of Jean Touret and the Ateliers de Marolles, and in opposition to the industrial furniture of young designers, France experienced a return to its medieval, rustic and peasant roots. There are the pros and the anti-industrials. Moreover, these different pieces of furniture, as well as the associated decorative objects, blend together in the interiors to give a typically French style. Longwy does not fail to join this movement and here is an example
