CHERRIER & BESNUS

FOR SALE IN OUR COLLECTION

Cherrier & Benus took over in 1926 from René Massin, a manufacturer of lighting fixtures active during the early 20th century, and continued in the same premises at 36 rue Amelot in the eleventh arrondissement of Paris. Massin produced bronze lighting in a neo-classical and art nouveau style. Cherrier et Besnus continued the production of these Massin products as well as introduced  new designs in art deco style. They opened a second larger workshop in Choisy. The art deco lamps of Cherrier & Besnus are well made items of excellent quality. The bronze parts of their fixtures are often stamped with the foundry initials RM (for René Massin).
