Pol Chambost is a famous French ceramicist and sculptor of the 20th century. He is recognized for his visionary spirit of tableware and decorative arts.

He is a true prolific artist. Throughout his life, he collaborated with big names, he explored shapes, colors, techniques and trends in order to design new and innovative pieces. The earth allowed him to draw daring and traditional lines at the same time while creating a unique style.


Pol Chambost was born in 1906 in France. After studying at the School of Applied Arts, he began his career following in his father's footsteps and became a funeral sculptor. A few years later, he discovered ceramics, which he first used in the family marble factory and then during the creation of his first pieces. He is passionate about this art and opens his own workshop. Subsequently, he developed his art and his techniques and produced his creations in series. It has met with great success, not only in France but also in the United States. He played a major role in the Chambre Syndicale des Ceramistes d'Art. He was also present at the Salon des Artistes Décorateurs and the Salon des Arts Ménagers. He is a real source of inspiration for artists.
